Nightstand

Winter 2010 during our five million snow storms I bought a pint of teal paint and just started painting pieces…here is one of them…

Before

After

Now stickerless and a bit more colorful! I am still searching for a paper to cover the top of the stand with, until then it’s fully teal and adds a touch of color to my otherwise black white and yellow room!

Trunk

Another product of my “tealalisciousness” days. This trunk was/still is in rough shape and I probably should have put some more thought into it before purchasing it. However, it works just fine to store my gym clothes and sorority shirts in!

Before

After

It’s not my favorite piece, but it works nicely for storage! One day I will probably re-paint it just a solid color, but with all the nooks and crannies that it comes with it is honestly a bit of a pain!

Greek-esk Lamp

I bought this lamp for $3.00 on a day when I just needed to buy something from Goodwill. It is very very heavy and looks almost like it is made from stone.

Before

After

I chose a gray and black paint…I have yet to find a shade I like but until then..

Wooden Outdoor Chair

This chair was only $5.00. And I love it! I swear it is made for people with big butts (me!). It came with a nasty looking leather cushion that I left in the Goodwill bin, shh, don’t tell them I did that! I sanded it down because as much as I like plain wood, I felt that it needed some color. I have decided to paint it an old white and sew up a big cushion for it when I find the perfect fabric.

Before

After

I mixed up a white paint that has a tint of gray in it to give it an older feel. I don’t yet have a cushion so I subsituted with yellow pillows for now!

 Hobby Horse

I picked this little guy up for a mere four bucks at Goodwill…

Before

I really wanted to create something a bit funky and fun…this is the end result!

After

Vintage Desk

I snagged this guy for FREE! WOOOO! Gotta love free stuff, after a few coats of polish, a can of spray paint, some wrapping paper and modge podge this was the end result!

I love the finished result..what do  you think?

Porch Swing

Got this free… little color added and beautiful!

BAR

Another free item!! Little dated, so took it apart and gave it a face lift.

Antique Child Chairs

Yet another free item! :) A bunch of sanding, a pint of paint, and a little bit of freehanding work and, viola!

Feather Mirror

A few feathers can go a longgg way!
